8th Grade Around the World

Going to the movies in San Jose, Costa Rica

When I first heard about the year around the world from my mom I was appalled. I began thinking of my friends and the life I have built over the past 5 years and how much I have grown accustomed to it. I couldn't be more upset. After I have had some time to think, I have come to the conclusion that this trip around the world won’t be so bad after all. I will have the opportunity to experience a vast amount of cultures and languages.  I have always wanted to travel the world and live a lavish lifestyle too.  Admittedly, after my mom told me this my mind raced with a million questions. What countries would we be visiting? Where would we stay? What about my friends? After a bit of explaining, my mom told me the list of countries we will be visiting along with the answers to these questions. Our first stop is NYC to visit family and have fun in Manhattan.
